FTP_PERMIT File Layout

The Polk County Property Appraiser's Office requests permit data from all permitting agencies in Polk County. Permits that do not affect taxable property value, such as residential fences, re-roofs, driveways etc. are not requested or entered into our system.

The Polk County Property Appraiser's office does not issue or maintain permits. Please contact the appropriate permit issuing agency to obtain permit information. The permit agency that issued the permit is included in the data below.

PERMIT_TYPE	Polk County Property Appraiser specific code used to identify the type of permit such as in-house permit, Residential Addition or a New Residential Home. Permits from outside permit agencies will typically have a code that beings with RES, COM, or TPP, all others are in-house permits or work to be performed by the Property Appraisers Office.
